Christmas Date Bryant Park//12.10.16

Perfect Personal Present

Christmas is a season of giving, but it can often be a challenge when you don't know what to get your mom or dad or best friend.

Carmela, though she claims that she will love anything and everything, is always hard to shop for. So this year, I did something a little different.

I took her out on a Christmas date.

Asked her if she was free, planned everything, wrote down all the places on a bunch of cute tags, stuck them in a stocking, surprised her with the whole schedule, hopped on the F, and began the date at Alice's Tea Cup (see next blog post!!)

For any date, think of things that the other person will like. Find places that suit their interests but also suit yours because you don't want to go somewhere you don't like. That will show in your excitement level and facial expressions.

I tried to incorporate her love for fairytales and tea by going to Alice's Tea Cup, a very whimsical and very magical tea house, her love for clothes and aesthetic at the Aerie pop-up shop in SOHO (also in following blog post), her love for coffee and cozy vibes, at Joe & The Juice, and finally her love for good food, nice pictures, and Christmas, at Bryant Park.

Since neither of us were in a rush to get back home, we went out for a long time and spent hours taking pictures, eating, laughing, talking. It was very casual and very fun. It made gift-giving unique and special to Carmela.

Mark your calender, grab a friend, parent, significant other, and take them out on a date, planned specifically for them. It'll make YOU happy to see THEM happy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Love, Rach
